Setting Up a DigitalOcean Website
DigitalOcean is a provider of cloud-based servers. It offers both a free and paid plan.
The free plan allows for 1GB of storage and 1TB of bandwidth. The paid plan offers more storage (10GB) and bandwidth (10TB).
To set up a DigitalOcean website, you will need to create an account and download the DigitalOcean client. After setting up your account, you will need to create a Droplet.
A Droplet is the basic unit of hosting on DigitalOcean. A Droplet can contain a single website or application, and can be used to host static files or a live server.
To create a Droplet, open the DigitalOcean client and select Create Droplet. Enter the name of your Droplet and choose an image.
Choose a region and an instance type. Click Create Droplet.
After your Droplet is created, you will need to configure it. To do this, open the DigitalOcean client and select your Droplet. Under Settings, click Servers. Under Settings, click Security, click Edit Server Profile.
Under Server Profile, click Add Profile. Enter the name of your website in the Name field and the port in the Port field. Click Save.
To run your website, you will need to configure a DNS server and a load balancer. To configure a DNS server, open the DigitalOcean client and select your Droplet. Under Settings, click Networking, click Add Server. Enter the IP address of your DNS server in the Address field and the port in the Port field.
To configure a load balancer, open the DigitalOcean client and select your Droplet. Under Settings, click Load Balancing, click Add Server. Enter the name of your load balancer in the Name field and the port in the Port field.
After your Droplet is configured, you can launch your website. Under Launchpad, click your Droplet’s name. Under Website, click Launch.
Enter the URL of your website in the URL field. Click Launch.
Congratulations! Your website is now online.
