There are two ways to share a Canva template:
- 1. Share as an Editable Template
- Open the design in Canva.
- Click the Share button in the top-right corner of the editor.
- Under “Share as,” select “Editable design. “
- Copy the link or click the social media icon to share the template directly.
When you share a template as an editable design, anyone with the link can access and edit the design.
This is great if you’re collaborating on a design with someone or if you want someone to be able to make changes to a design you’ve created.

- Open the design in Canva.
- Under “Share as,” select “PDF” or “Image.
When you share a design as a PDF or image, only someone with the link can view it.
They won’t be able to make any changes to the design.

Both options are great for different situations. If you need to collaborate on a design with someone, sharing an editable template is probably your best bet. But if you just want someone to be able to view your design, sharing it as a PDF or image will work just fine.
