There are a few different ways that you can show a PDF in Squarespace. One way is to use the File Content block.

This block lets you embed PDFs, images, and other types of files on your site. To add a PDF using the File Content block:

  1. Open the page or post editor and click an insertion point.
  2. In the Block menu, click File.
  3. Click PDF.
  4. Upload your PDF. You can also drag and drop it into the block.

Another way to show a PDF on your Squarespace site is to add it to an Image Gallery page. To add a PDF to an Image Gallery page:

PRO TIP: This article is outdated and no longer relevant to Squarespace.
  1. Navigate to the Images panel. In the Home Menu, click Pages, then hover over the page you want to edit and click Edit. In the Page Editor, click Change Layout, then select Image Gallery.
  2. If you don’t see this option, click Edit Page Properties, then select Image Gallery. Click Apply.
  3. Drag and drop your PDF into the Image Gallery, or click Add Images, then select your file.

Your PDF will appear as a thumbnail image in the gallery. Visitors can click the thumbnail to open the PDF in a new browser tab.

You can also add a link to a PDF on another site using the Button block. To do this:

  1. Open the page or post editor and click an insertion point.
  2. In the Block menu, click Button.
  3. Enter a destination URL for your link.

You can also use HTML to add a link to a PDF.

If you want more control over how your PDF looks on your site, you can use an iFrame. iFrames let you embed content from another site on your page.

To add an iFrame showing a PDF, follow these steps.

  1. open the page or post editor and click an insertion point.
  2. ope the code editor for that insertion point.
  3. get an iframe code snippet from another website. enter that iframe code in between these tags:

replace width <600> with whatever width you’d like.

save your changes. publish your site. open the preview link for the page.
