There are two main ways to show your Instagram posts on Squarespace. You can either use an Instagram Block or the Summary Block.
Both blocks will allow you to display your photos from Instagram, but the Summary Block also allows you to display your Instagram bio and website URL.
To add an Instagram Block:
- Click the + icon and select Instagram from the list of blocks.
- A pop-up window will appear. Enter your Instagram username and click Log in. If you’re not logged into Instagram, you’ll be prompted to do so.
- Once you’re logged in, click the blue “Authorize” button.
- Select which photos you want to display by clicking on the thumbnails. You can also use the search bar to find specific photos. When you hover over a photo, you’ll see options to edit the photo (crop, filters, etc.) or delete it from the block.
- Click “Done”. Your selected photos will appear in the block.
To add a Summary Block:
-
Click the + icon and select “Summary”

PRO TIP: If you are considering showing your Instagram posts on your Squarespace website, be aware that there are some potential risks. First, your Instagram account could be suspended or banned if you violate Instagram’s terms of service. Additionally, showing your Instagram posts on your website could slow down your website’s load time, and you may also need to pay for a higher-quality hosting plan to accommodate the increased traffic.
