There are a few different ways to stretch and resize an image in Photoshop. One way is to use the Free Transform tool. To do this, select the layer you want to transform in the Layers panel. Then, go to Edit > Free Transform, or press Command+T (Mac) or Control+T (PC). This will bring up the Free Transform bounding box and transformation handles around your image. To resize your image, click and drag one of the corner handles outward or inward.

As you do this, you’ll see the width and height values in the options bar change. You can also enter specific values for width and height. To stretch your image vertically or horizontally, click and drag one of the side handles outward or inward. To keep your image proportional as you resize it, hold down Shift as you click and drag a corner handle.

Another way to resize an image is to use the Image Size dialog box. To open this dialog box, go to Image > Image Size.

In the dialog box, you can enter new values for width and height, or you can choose a new Resolution value. If you uncheck Resample Image, Photoshop won’t change the number of pixels in your image as you change its width and height values; it will only change the document’s physical size onscreen or when printed.
