How Do I Toggle Guides in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 2:10 pm

Guides are an important part of Photoshop – they help you line up elements in your design. But how do you toggle them on and off?

There are two ways to toggle guides in Photoshop. The first is to use the “View” menu at the top of the screen.

Under this menu, you’ll find an option for “Show Guides.” Simply select this option to turn on the guides, or deselect it to turn them off.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, or do not have a lot of experience using the software, it is best to avoid trying to toggle guides in Photoshop. While it is not a difficult task, it can be easy to make a mistake that could cause problems with your images.

The second way to toggle guides is with a keyboard shortcut. Simply press “Ctrl+Shift+H” on a PC, or “Command+Shift+H” on a Mac. This shortcut will turn the guides on or off, depending on their current state.

Guides are a valuable tool in Photoshop, so it’s important to know how to toggle them on and off. By using the View menu or a keyboard shortcut, you can easily control when they’re visible.
