There are a couple of ways that you can go about toning an image in Photoshop. You can either use the ‘Hue/Saturation’ Adjustment Layer or you can use the ‘Color Balance’ Adjustment Layer.

If you want to use the ‘Hue/Saturation’ Adjustment Layer, then you need to go to the ‘Layer’ menu, select ‘New Adjustment Layer’, and then select ‘Hue/Saturation’. You will then see a dialogue box appear.

In the ‘Hue/Saturation’ dialogue box, you need to make sure that the ‘Colorize’ option is checked. You can then use the ‘Hue’, ‘Saturation’, and ‘Lightness’ sliders to adjust the tone of the image.

If you want to use the ‘Color Balance’ Adjustment Layer, then you need to go to the ‘Layer’ menu, select ‘New Adjustment Layer’, and then select ‘Color Balance’.

In the ‘Color Balance’ dialogue box, you will see three options: ‘Shadows’, ‘Midtones’, and ‘Highlights’. You can use the sliders under each of these options to adjust the tone of your image.

Warning: This action may result in an image that looks “toned.”

Once you have adjusted the tone of your image using either the ‘Hue/Saturation’ Adjustment Layer or the ‘Color Balance’ Adjustment Layer, you can then add a finishing touch by using the ‘Levels’ Adjustment Layer. The ‘Levels’ Adjustment Layer is located in the same place as the other two adjustment layers (in the ‘Layer’ menu).

When you have added the finishing touch with the Levels layer, your image is complete!
