How Do I Translate Text in WooCommerce?

If you are running a WooCommerce store, it is likely that you will need to translate some text into another language at some point. WooCommerce makes this easy to do with the built-in translation tool.

In this article, we will show you how to translate text in WooCommerce.

PRO TIP: If you are using WooCommerce to run your online store, it is important to be aware that there is no built-in translation feature. This means that if you want to sell products in multiple languages, you will need to either use a third-party translation plugin or manually translate your pages and products yourself.

While WooCommerce does not offer built-in translation features, there are plenty of third-party plugins that can add this functionality to your site. However, it is important to note that not all plugins are created equal. Some plugins may add additional code to your site which could slow it down, or they may not be compatible with all themes and plugins.

If you decide to manually translate your WooCommerce site, it is important to be aware that some parts of the interface (such as the checkout page) are hardcoded in English. This means that you will need to use a plugin or custom code to change these parts into the desired language.

Step 1: Log into your WordPress site and go to your WooCommerce > Settings page.

Step 2: On the Settings page, click on the tab labeled “General”.

Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom of the General Settings page and find the section labeled “Language”.

Step 4: In the “Language” setting, select the language you want to use for your store.

Step 5: Click on the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

That’s all there is to it! Once you have selected a language for your store, all of the text in your store will be translated into that language. If you ever need to change the language of your store, simply follow these steps again and select a new language.
