Next, you’ll need to choose a background for your illustration. For this tutorial, we’re going to select a solid color background so click on the “Background” option in the left-hand panel and then click on the “Solid color” option. Choose the color you want your background to be and then click on the “Apply” button.
Now that you have your background set up, it’s time to start adding elements to your illustration! Canva has a massive library of illustrations, photos, and icons for you to choose from. To add an element, simply click on the element in the library and it will be added to your design automatically.
If you want to move an element around, simply click on it and drag it to where you want it to go. You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to nudge an element around by one pixel at a time.
To rotate an element, hover your mouse over the element until you see a small circle with an arrow around it appear. Click on that circle and then drag it around until the element is rotated to your liking.
