How do I turn off InVision hotspot hinting?

Hotspot hinting is a feature in InVision that allows you to hint at elements of your design that would be difficult to see if they were not hovered over. While this can be helpful when you’re first starting out, many designers find it to be more of a hindrance than a help.

There are a few ways to turn off hotspot hinting in InVision. The easiest way is to go to the preferences page and uncheck the “Hints when hovering over elements” box.

However, this can be a bit inconvenient if you need to use hotspot hinting for specific elements.

PRO TIP: InVision hotspot hinting allows you to see where you can click on an image to go to the next slide. However, if you accidentally click on an image, it can be hard to return to the previous slide. To turn off InVision hotspot hinting, go to the “Settings” menu and uncheck the “Show Hotspots” option.

Another way to disable hotspot hinting is to go to the “Layout” tab and select the “Hints” option. Here, you can disable all hints, or choose specific elements that you do not want to be hovered over. Finally, you can also disable hotspot hinting for specific layers in your design.

To do this, go to the “Layers” tab and select the layer you want to change the hint for. Then, select the “Hints” option and disable the “Hover hints” box.

Overall, hotspot hinting can be a helpful tool for beginners, but many designers find it to be more of a hindrance than a help. If you’re struggling to use hotspot hinting in InVision, one option is to disable it completely.

Alternatively, you can choose specific elements that you do not want to be hovered over and disable hints for them.
