As a business owner, it’s important to understand how to manage your Shopify account settings – including turning off multi-currency. While multi-currency can be a useful tool for some businesses, it may not be right for everyone. In this article, we’ll explain how to turn off multi-currency in your Shopify account.
If you’re using Shopify Payments, you can accept multiple currencies from customers around the world. When you enable multi-currency, Shopify automatically converts all prices on your store to your customer’s local currency.
While this can be helpful for making global sales, it may not be necessary for everyone. If you’d like to disable multi-currency on your store, you can do so from your Shopify Payments settings.
To turn off multi-currency:
- From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.
- In the Shopify Payments section, click Manage.
- Under Currency Conversion, uncheck the Enable multi-currency box.
- Click Save.
Note: If you have more than one currency enabled when you turn off multi-currency, thenShopify will automatically select one currency as the primary currency for your store. This is the currency that will be used for all prices on your store going forward.
