WooCommerce is a powerful eCommerce platform that allows you to sell products online. While it’s easy to set up and get started with WooCommerce, there are some advanced features that you may not be aware of. One of those features is the ability to disable orders.
If you need to disable orders on your WooCommerce store, there are two ways you can do it. You can either disable orders completely, or you can disable orders for specific products. We’ll show you how to do both.
How to Disable Orders Completely in WooCommerce
If you want to disable orders completely on your WooCommerce store, there are two ways you can do it. You can either use the built-in WooCommerce order settings, or you can install a plugin.
Using the Built-in WooCommerce Order Settings
WooCommerce comes with built-in settings that allow you to disable orders. To access these settings, log into your WordPress dashboard and go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Orders.
On the Orders page, you’ll see an option to “Disable new orders”. Select this option and then click “Save changes”. Once you’ve saved your changes, new orders will be disabled on your store.
Installing a Plugin
If you don’t want to use the built-in WooCommerce order settings, another option is to install a plugin. There are a few plugins that allow you to disable orders on your WooCommerce store.
One of our favorites is the WooCommerce Disable Checkout plugin. This plugin allows you to quickly and easily disable orders on your store.
How to Disable Orders for Specific Products in WooCommerce
If you only want to disable orders for specific products in Woo Commerce, there are two ways you can do it. You can either use the built-in product settings, or you can install a plugin.
Using the Built-in Product Settings
WooCommerce allows you to disable ordering for specific products from the product edit screen. To access this setting, log into your WordPress dashboard and go to Products > All Products. Then select the product that you want to edit and scroll down to the “Inventory” section.
In this section, there’s an option called “Allow Backorders?”. By default, this setting is set to “Do not allow”. However, if you change it to “Allow”, customers will be ableto purchase the product even if it’s out of stock.
