How Do I Turn Off Parallax in Squarespace?

If you’re using Squarespace, you may have noticed the Parallax effect on some pages. Parallax is a visual effect where items on the page appear to move at different speeds as you scroll. While it can create an interesting visual effect, it can also be distracting or even cause issues with how your site loads. If you want to turn off Parallax on a Squarespace page, there are a few steps you need to follow.

In order to turn off Parallax on a Squarespace page, you will need to edit the page in question and find the ‘Parallax’ setting.

This can be found in the ‘Page Settings’ menu, which is accessed by clicking the ‘Page Settings’ icon in the top-right corner of the page editor. Once you’re in the ‘Page Settings’ menu, simply uncheck the ‘Enable Parallax’ option and save your changes.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Squarespace, we recommend that you consult with a Squarespace expert before attempting to turn off Parallax. Parallax can be turned off by going to Design > Style Editor > Advanced > Parallax and selecting the “None” option.

That’s all there is to it! Once you’ve unchecked the ‘Enable Parallax’ option, your Squarespace page will no longer have any Parallax effect applied to it. If you want to re-enable Parallax at any point, simply follow these same steps and check the ‘Enable Parallax’ option again.
