In Photoshop CC, you can control the intensity and color of lighting effects by using the Lighting Effects dialog box. To open the Lighting Effects dialog box, go to the Window menu and select Lighting Effects.

The Lighting Effects dialog box contains five tabs: Basic, Tone, Path, Filter, and Effect.

To adjust the intensity and color of lighting effects, click the Basic tab and use the slider controls to adjust the effect. To change the color of the light, click the Tone tab and use the color wheel to select the color of the light.

You can also click the swatch next to the color wheel to open the Select Color dialog box, where you can select a color from the color spectrum.

PRO TIP: Before proceeding, please be aware that turning on lighting effects in Photoshop CC may result in your computer’s performance slowing down. Additionally, please note that not all computers are able to handle this feature without issue. If you experience any problems after turning on lighting effects, please consider turning them back off.

To change the intensity of the light, click the Path tab and use the slider controls to adjust the effect. To change the direction of the light, click the Directional tab and use the arrow buttons to select the direction of the light.

You can also drag the light objects to change the position of the light.

To change the size of the light, click the Filter tab and use the slider controls to adjust the effect. To change the type of the light, click the Effect tab and use the slider controls to adjust the effect.

The options in the Effect tab include: Ambient light, Background light, Bright light, Flash light, and Spotlight.
