How Do I Undo Multiple Times in Photoshop?

If you’re like me, you probably use the Undo command (Ctrl+Z) quite often in Photoshop. But what if you need to undo multiple steps The standard Undo command will only take you back one step, so how can you undo multiple steps

There are a couple of ways to do this. The first is to use the History panel.

The History panel keeps track of all the steps you’ve taken in your Photoshop document, and allows you to go back and forth between them. To use the History panel, simply click on the step you want to go back to. Photoshop will then take you back to that step, and you can continue working from there.

PRO TIP: If you are working in Photoshop and need to undo multiple times, be aware that there is a limit to how many undos you can perform. Once you reach the limit, you will not be able to undo any further.

If you don’t want to use the History panel, or if you’re working on a document where the History panel isn’t available (such as a PDF), you can also use the Undo command multiple times. To do this, simply hold down the Ctrl (PC) or Command (Mac) key and press Z multiple times. Photoshop will undo each step one at a time.

Conclusion:

The best way to undo multiple steps in Photoshop is to use the History panel. However, if you’re working on a document where the History panel isn’t available, you can also use the Undo command multiple times.
