If you’re like most WooCommerce store owners, you’re always looking for ways to improve your online shop. After all, a successful store is one that is constantly evolving and growing. One way to do this is to keep your WooCommerce plugins up to date. This not only ensures that your shop is running smoothly, but it also keeps you from missing out on new features and improvements.
So how do you update your WooCommerce Subscription Plugin? The first thing you need to do is make sure that you have a backup of your site. This is just in case something goes wrong during the update process. Once you have a backup, you can proceed with updating the plugin.
There are two ways to update a WooCommerce plugin: through the WordPress admin panel or by manually updating the files. We’ll go over both methods so you can choose the one that’s best for you.
Updating Through the WordPress Admin Panel
The first method is to update the plugin through the WordPress admin panel. To do this, simply login to your WordPress site and go to the Plugins page.
From here, find the Subscriptions plugin in the list and click on the “Update” link.
WordPress will now download the latest version of the plugin and install it for you. Once it’s finished, simply click on the “Activate” link and you’re good to go.
Manually Updating Subscription Plugin Files
The second method is to update the plugin files manually. This is a bit more technical, but it’s still pretty easy to do. First, you’ll need to download the latest version of the Subscriptions plugin from WooCommerce.com.
Once you have the ZIP file, login to your WordPress site and go to the Plugins page. From here, find the Subscriptions plugin in the list and click on the “Deactivate” link. Next, click on the “Delete” link to remove the old plugin files from your server.
Now that the old files are gone, you can upload the new ones. To do this, simply click on the “Add New” button at the top of the Plugins page and select “Upload Plugin.” Choose the ZIP file that you downloaded earlier and click on “Install Now. ”
Once WordPress has installed the new files, simply click onthe “Activate” link and you’re all set.
