There are several ways to update PHP on HostGator cPanel. The most common way is to use the cPanel Update Manager.

1. Log into your HostGator cPanel account.

2. Click on the System link on the left-hand navigation panel.

3. Click on the Update Manager link in the System section.

4. In the Update Manager window, click on the Check for Updates button.

5. If there are any updates available, HostGator will display a list of them in the Available Updates window.

Click on the Update Selected button to download and install the updates.

PRO TIP: If you are using HostGator cPanel to manage your website, it is important to keep your PHP version up to date. Outdated versions of PHP can have security vulnerabilities that could allow hackers to gain access to your website. To update PHP in HostGator cPanel, log into your account and go to the “Software” section. From there, you can select the new PHP version you want to use and click “Update”.

6. Once the updates have been installed, click on the OK button to close the Update Manager window.

7. You can now restart the HostGator web server if it was stopped during the update process.
