Uploading Files to Azure Blob Storage

Azure Blob Storage is a great way to store large files and access them anywhere. You can upload files to Azure Blob Storage using the Azure Portal or the Azure PowerShell cmdlets.

To upload a file to Azure Blob Storage using the Azure Portal:

In the Azure Portal, open the Blob Storage page. In the Blob Storage page, select the file you want to upload.

PRO TIP: Azure Blob Storage is a cloud-based storage service that is designed for storing large amounts of data. It is important to note that Azure Blob Storage is not a traditional file system and therefore cannot be used to store files in the same way as a local file system. Instead, Azure Blob Storage uses a blob container to store data in the form of blobs. In order to upload files to Azure Blob Storage, it is necessary to use the Azure Storage Client Library for .NET. The Azure Storage Client Library for .NET provides a set of tools that make it easy to work with Azure Blob Storage.

In the Upload File dialog box, click the Upload button. In the Upload File dialog box, type the name of the file and click the Upload button.

To upload a file to Azure Blob Storage using the Azure PowerShell cmdlets:

In the Azure PowerShell console, type the following command:

az blob storage upload file –name myfile –container mycontainer

The az blob storage upload file command uploads the myfile file to the mycontainer container in Azure Blob Storage.
