How Do I Use Categories in Squarespace?

Organizing your website into categories helps your visitors find the content they’re looking for, and makes your site more navigable. Squarespace makes it easy to add, remove, and reorder categories on your site. In this article, we’ll show you how to use categories in Squarespace.

To get started, log into your Squarespace account and navigate to the Pages section of the Content panel. From here, you can create a new page or edit an existing one.

Once you’ve found the page you want to edit, scroll down to the Page Information section and look for the Category drop-down menu. Here, you can select from any existing categories on your site, or create a new one by typing in a name and pressing Enter/Return.

You can add as many categories as you like to each page, and reorder them by dragging and dropping them into place. When you’re finished, just click Save. Your changes will be published immediately.
