Content-Aware Fill is a new feature in Photoshop CS5 that allows you to remove an object from an image and have Photoshop automatically fill in the space left behind.

Here’s a quick step-by-step guide on how to use Content-Aware Fill:

  1. Open the image you want to edit in Photoshop CS5.
  2. Click on the “Content-Aware Fill” button in the “Edit” tab.
  3. Click and drag your mouse over the object you want to remove. As you do this, you’ll see a red overlay appear over the area you’re selecting.
  4. Release your mouse button when you’ve finished selecting the object. Photoshop will then analyze the image and attempt to fill in the space left behind by the object you removed.

If you’re happy with the results of Content-Aware Fill, then that’s it – you can save your image and close Photoshop. If not, then there are a few things you can try:

  1. Adjust The Selection: If Content-Aware Fill didn’t do a good job of filling in the space, then try adjusting your selection. Go back to Step 3 and try selecting a different area. You can also try using the “Refine Edge” tool to fine-tune your selection.
  2. Use The Healing Brush Tool: If Adjusting The Selection didn’t help, then try using the Healing Brush tool to manually fix any areas that Content-Aware Fill missed. To do this, select the Healing Brush tool from the “Tools” palette, and then brush over any areas that need fixing.
