How Do I Use Strips and Columns in Wix?

Last updated on January 3, 2023 @ 3:35 pm

When creating a website, one of the first things you need to decide is how you want your content to be laid out. Do you want a traditional linear layout, with everything neatly arranged in rows and columns? Or do you want a more modern, “free-flowing” layout, where content is arranged in a more organic way?

If you’re using Wix, you have the option of using strips and columns to create either type of layout. In this article, we’ll show you how to use both strips and columns in Wix, and how to style them using HTML tags.

strips are one of the most versatile elements in Wix. You can use them to create a traditional linear layout, or a more modern free-flowing layout. To use strips in Wix, simply drag and drop them into your site’s editor.

PRO TIP: When using strips and columns in Wix, be aware that they can affect the overall look and feel of your site. Strips and columns can make your site appear cluttered and busy, so use them sparingly. Also, be sure to evenly distribute the content within each strip or column, so that your site looks balanced.

Columns are another versatile element that can be used to create either type of layout. To use columns in Wix, drag and drop them into your site’s editor. Then, use the “Columns” tool to set the number of columns you want.
