When you add a summary block to your page, you’ll see two options:
- Text: This option allows you to enter text into the summary block. You can use the formatting options in the editor to style your text.
- Image: This option allows you to add an image to the summary block.
You can upload an image from your computer, or select one from our stock images library. You can also add a link to an external website.
To add a summary block to your page, log in to your Squarespace account and go to the Pages section of your Dashboard. Click on the page where you want to add a summary block.
Then, click on the + Add Block button and select Summary. Once you’ve added a summary block, you can click on it to edit it.
Here are some tips for using summary blocks:
- Style your text: Use the formatting options in the editor to style your text. You can make your text bold, italicized, or underlined.
- Add links: Use the “Link” button in the editor to add links to other pages on your site, or external websites.
- “Read More” links: If you’re linking to another page on your site, you can use the “Read More” feature.
This will add a link at the end of your summary block that says “Read More.” Clicking on this link will take visitors to the linked page.
First, summary blocks can only be used on certain page types. If you try to use a summary block on a page that doesn’t support them, you’ll see an error message.
Second, summary blocks are not available for use on mobile devices. This means that your content will not be organized when viewed on a mobile phone or tablet.
Lastly, summary blocks can only be used to display content from other pages on your site. You cannot use them to display content from external sources.
