The Wacom Intuos Pro is a pen tablet that gives you the power to produce professional results with any software that supports a pen tablet input. When used with Photoshop, you can use the pressure-sensitive pen to create precise lines and shapes, or to retouch photos with natural-looking results.

You can also use the tablet’s buttons and wheels to quickly access Photoshop’s tools and commands. Here’s how to get started using the Wacom Intuos Pro with Photoshop:

1. Connect the tablet to your computer using the USB cable. If you’re using a Mac, you may need to install the driver software that came with the tablet.

2. Open Photoshop and select the Pen tool from the Tools palette. If you don’t see the Tools palette, press F5 to open it.

3. In the Options bar at the top of the screen, select Pen Tablet from the Tool Mode drop-down menu.

4. To change the size and hardness of your brush tip, double-click on the Brush Tip Shape icon in the Options bar.

In the Brush Tip Shape window that appears, use the Size, Hardness, and other options to customize your brush tip. When you’re finished, click OK.

5. Now you’re ready to start drawing! Position your pen over the tablet so that the tip is touching the surface, then press down to begin drawing.

You can also use the pen buttons to perform quick actions in Photoshop.

By default, clicking on the pen’s lower barrel button activates Photoshop’s eraser tool, while clicking on the upper barrel button brings up a color picker.

To change what these buttons do, open Photoshop’s “Preferences”. Under “Cursors,” select “Other Preferences,” then select “Tablet.” Here you can assign different functions to each of the tablet buttons.
