How Do Memberships Work on Wix?

Last updated on January 8, 2023 @ 5:34 pm

A membership on Wix is a great way to keep your content organized and accessible to only those who should see it. You can use memberships to give access to paid content, or to keep certain areas of your website private. Here’s how memberships work on Wix:

When you create a membership on Wix, you can choose what type of content you want to protect. You can choose to protect an entire site, or just specific pages or posts. Once you’ve selected the content you want to protect, you can then decide who should have access to it. There are three types of memberships on Wix:

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about signing up for a Wix membership, there are a few things you should know. First, Wix memberships are not free. You will be charged a monthly fee for your membership. Second, Wix memberships do not give you access to all of the features on the site. Some features are only available to paying members. Finally, if you cancel your membership, you will lose access to all of the features that you paid for.
  1. Public: Anyone can access the content, but they will need to sign up for an account to do so.
  2. Private: Only those who are invited by the owner can access the content. They will also need to sign up for an account.
  3. Hidden: The content is not visible to anyone except for the owner. There is no need to sign up for an account to access hidden content.

Once you’ve decided what type of membership you want, you can then set up the details of how it will work. This includes setting a price (if applicable), deciding how long the membership will last, and creating any special rules or conditions that apply. You can also add a custom message that will be displayed to members when they sign in.

Wix makes it easy to manage your memberships and keep track of who has access to what. You can view all of your members in one place, and see when their membership expires. You can also send messages to individual members or groups of members, and see who has viewed your protected content.
