Adding a background to a picture in Photoshop is a simple process that can be accomplished in just a few steps. The first step is to open the picture that you want to add the background to in Photoshop. Once the picture is open, click on the “Layer” menu at the top of the screen and then select “New Layer.” A new layer will appear in the “Layers” palette.
Next, click on the “Background” layer in the “Layers” palette and then select the “Eraser” tool from the toolbar. The “Eraser” tool is located under the “Edit” menu. Use the “Eraser” tool to erase the background of the picture.
Once you have erased the background, you will see checkerboard pattern where the background was erased.
Now that you have erased the background, you can add a new background. To do this, click on the “Layer” menu and then select “New Layer. Next, click on the “Background” layer in the “Layers” palette and then select the “Paint Bucket” tool from the toolbar. The “Paint Bucket” tool is located under the “Edit” menu. Use the “Paint Bucket” tool to fill in the new background layer with a color of your choice.
