How do you add a TXT record to Namecheap?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:42 pm

Adding a TXT record to Namecheap is a relatively easy process. First, you’ll need to find the TXT record you want to add.

You can do this by clicking on the “Manage DNS” button on the main Namecheap page, and then selecting the “TXT Records” tab.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with DNS records and Namecheap’s interface, please refrain from trying to add a TXT record. You could inadvertently break your website’s DNS configuration.

Once you’re on the “TXT Records” tab, you’ll need to find the TXT record you want to add. To do this, you’ll need to search for the TXT record name using the “Search” field on the left-hand side of the screen.

Once you’ve found the TXT record you want, you’ll need to click on it to open the details page for that record.

On the details page for the TXT record, you’ll need to click on the “Add TXT Record” button to add the TXT record to Namecheap. Once you’ve added the TXT record, you’ll need to click on the “Save Changes” button to save the changes to Namecheap.
