Beauty retouching is one of the most popular uses of Photoshop. Whether you’re airbrushing a model’s skin in a magazine ad, or touching up a family photo, Photoshop’s many tools can help you achieve amazing results.

In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to use some of Photoshop’s most popular beauty retouching techniques. We’ll start by smoothing out skin imperfections, then we’ll move on to removing blemishes and unwanted wrinkles. We’ll finish up by brightening teeth and eyes, and adding a little bit of color to lips.

Let’s get started!

Step One: Smooth Out Skin Imperfections

The first step in any beauty retouch is to smooth out the skin. This will help to minimize the appearance of pores, fine lines, and wrinkles.

There are a few different ways to do this in Photoshop, but we’re going to use the Spot Healing Brush tool. This tool is designed specifically for retouching photos, and it does a great job of automatically blending away imperfections.

To use the Spot Healing Brush tool, simply select it from the toolbar on the left side of your screen:

Then, click and drag over any areas of the skin that you want to smooth out. As you can see in the example above, the Spot Healing Brush does a great job of automatically blending away imperfections:

Step Two: Remove Blemishes and Unwanted Wrinkles

The next step in our beauty retouch is to remove any blemishes or unwanted wrinkles from the skin. For this, we’re going to use the Clone Stamp tool.

To select the Clone Stamp tool, simply click on its icon in the toolbar on the left side of your screen:

Then, position your cursor over an area of skin that you want to clone (copy). Hold down the Alt key (Windows) or Option key (Mac), and click once to set your clone source:

Now that you have your clone source set, position your cursor over the blemish or wrinkle that you want to remove, and then click and drag with your mouse to clone (copy) over it. The result should look something like this:

As you can see, using the Clone Stamp tool is a great way to quickly remove blemishes and unwanted wrinkles from photos. And best of all, it’s completely non-destructive!

Which means that you can always go back and make changes if you’re not happy with your results. So experiment with it until you get something that you’re happy with!

In conclusion, these are some of the most popular methods for beauty retouching in Photoshop. Experiment with each technique until you get something that you’re happy with!
