Adding products to Weebly is simple and straightforward. There are two ways to add products: through the Add Page section or through the Products tab.
Adding products through the Add Page section is the quickest way to add a small number of products. To add products this way:
- Log in to your Weebly account and click the Edit Site button.
- Click on the Add Page button located in the top menu bar.
- A new page will be added to your site. Click on the Products tab located in the left sidebar.
- The Products page will open. Enter the name of your product in the Name field.
- In the Description field, enter a brief description of your product.
- The Product Image field allows you to upload an image of your product. Click on the Select Image button and choose an image from your computer.
- In the Price field, enter the price of your product.
- The Shipping field allows you to set a shipping price for your product. If you do not want to charge shipping, leave this field blank.
- The Inventory field allows you to track inventory for your product.
If you do not want to track inventory, leave this field blank.
- The Weight field allows you to set a weight for your product. This is useful for calculating shipping charges.
- The SKU field stands for “Stock Keeping Unit.” This is an identification number that you can use to track your product. If you do not want to use a SKU, leave this field blank.
- The Tags field allows you to add tags to your product. Tags are keywords that help describe your product. For example, if you are selling a shirt, you might tag it with “clothing,” “men’s,” “women’s,” etc.
First, Weebly does not allow you to sell products directly on their platform. You can add a Buy Now button to your site, but when a user clicks it they will be taken to an external page to purchase the product. This means that you will need to set up a separate e-commerce platform (such as Shopify) in order to sell products on your Weebly site.
Second, Weebly does not offer any built-in inventory management features. This means that you will need to track your inventory manually, and update your product listings accordingly.
Lastly, Weebly does not calculate shipping costs for you. When adding products to your site, you will need to enter the shipping cost manually. Be sure to take this into account when setting your product prices.
Taking all of these factors into account, be sure that you are prepared before adding products to your Weebly site.
