How Do You Blend Animals and Humans in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 1:36 pm

In this tutorial, we’re going to learn how to blend animals and humans together in Photoshop! We’ll be using the Pen Tool, Layer Masks, and some adjustment layers to get the job done. Let’s get started!

The first thing you need to do is open up the two images you want to use in Photoshop. For this tutorial, I’m going to be using a photo of a dog and a photo of a person.

Once you have both images open, create a new layer by clicking on the “Create a new layer” icon at the bottom of the Layers panel.

Next, use the Pen Tool to trace around the outline of the dog in the image. When you’re done, right-click on the path and choose “Make Selection.”

PRO TIP: This tutorial covers how to use Photoshop to blend animals and humans together. It is important to be careful when following this tutorial, as it is easy to make mistakes that can lead to distorted or unrealistic results.

Now that we have our selection, we can add a layer mask by clicking on the “Add layer mask” icon at the bottom of the Layers panel.

With our layer mask in place, we can start blending the two images together! To do this, simply use a soft brush to paint over the areas where you want the dog to appear. I like to use a black brush for this step, but feel free to experiment with different colors.

As you can see, our dog is starting to take shape! But we’re not quite done yet. The next step is to add some shadows and highlights to make our image look more realistic.

To do this, create two new layers – one for shadows and one for highlights. Then use a soft black brush to paint shadows onto the areas where you want them. For highlights, use a soft white brush.

And that’s it! You’ve now learned how to blend animals and humans together in Photoshop. Just remember to take your time and experiment with different techniques until you find something that works for you.
