If you’re running low on a product and want to take it off your site until you can replenish your inventory, the first thing you need to do is log into your WordPress Dashboard. Once you’re logged in, hover over the “Products” tab in the left-hand menu and click on “All Products”. Doing so will take you to a page where all of your products are listed.
Find the product that is out of stock and click on its title. Doing so will take you to the product’s edit page, where you can make changes to the product.
In the “Inventory” section near the bottom of the page, change the value in the “Stock Status” drop-down menu from “In Stock” to “Out of Stock”. Once you’ve made that change, scroll down and click on the “Update” button.
And that’s it!
You’ve now successfully marked a product as out of stock in WooCommerce. Keep in mind that customers will still be able to see the product on your site, but they will not be able to add it to their cart.
When you’re ready to put the product back “in stock,” simply follow these same instructions and change the “Stock Status” back to “In Stock. ”
