How Do You Change the Checkered Background in Photoshop?

The checkered background in Photoshop is the default background when you create a new document. If you want to change the color of the checkered background, you can do so by going into the Preferences menu.

To access the Preferences menu, go to Edit > Preferences > General. In the Preferences menu, you will see an option for “Background.” Click on this option and then select the color you want from the drop-down menu.

PRO TIP: The checkered background in Photoshop can be changed by going to the ‘Preferences’ tab and selecting the ‘Background’ option. Selecting a new background will change the checkered background to the new selected image.

There are a few things to keep in mind when changing the color of the checkered background. First, if you are working in an older version of Photoshop, the color picker may only have a limited number of colors to choose from. Second, the color you select will only affect the checkered background; it will not change the color of any other element in your document.

If you want to change the checkered background and don’t want to use a solid color, you can also select a pattern from the “Pattern” drop-down menu. Again, keep in mind that if you are working in an older version of Photoshop, the number of patterns available may be limited.

Once you have selected the color or pattern you want, click “OK” to apply it to your document.
