Sun flares are one of the most beautiful and striking effects that you can add to your photos. They can transform an ordinary photo into something truly special.

While you can’t always predict when or where a sun flare will occur, there are a few things that you can do to increase your chances of capturing one. One of the best ways to create a sun flare is to use a Photoshop overlay.

A Photoshop overlay is a digital image that you can add to your photo to create a certain effect. In this case, we’re going to use an overlay to create a sun flare. There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing an overlay. First, make sure that the overlay is transparent.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that the ‘How Do You Create a Sun Flare Overlay in Photoshop?’ article contains instructions on how to permanently change the pixels in an image. These changes cannot be undone.

This will allow the sun flare to show through clearly. Second, choose an overlay that is high quality and resolution. The last thing you want is for your sun flare to be pixelated or low quality.

Once you’ve found the perfect sun flare overlay, it’s time to add it to your photo. First, open your photo in Photoshop. Next, drag the overlay into the Photoshop window. You’ll see a new layer appear in the Layers panel.

Make sure that the new layer is above the background layer. If it’s not, simply click and drag it up until it is. Now, change the blending mode of the layer to Screen. This will allow the sun flare to show through clearly.

Finally, adjust the opacity of the layer until you’re happy with the results. And that’s it! You’ve successfully added a beautiful sun flare overlay to your photo using Photoshop!
