How do you do a motion in Figma?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:18 pm

When creating a motion in Figma, the user should first create a basic object in the scene. This object will serve as the foundation for the motion.

To create the motion, the user should first select the object and click on the Motion button in the toolbar. This will open the Motion Editor.

From here, the user should select the actions that they would like to include in the motion. These actions can be things like rotating, scaling, and moving the object around.

PRO TIP: This is a warning about the Figma motion tool. It is not a how-to guide. If you are not familiar with Figma, please do not attempt to use this tool.

Once the actions are selected, the user should click on the Add Action button and select the appropriate Action from the list. For example, if the user wants to rotate the object, they should select the Rotate Action from the list and provide the angle in degrees.

After the actions are added, the user should click on the Play button to preview the motion. If the motion is correct, they can then save the motion by clicking on the Save button.

Finally, the user should click on the Conclusion button to write the conclusions of the motion.
