How Do You Do a Voice Over in Canva?

Last updated on September 27, 2022 @ 11:10 pm

Voice overs are a great way to add interest to your Canva designs, whether you’re creating an explainer video, a product demonstration, or just want to add some fun audio to your next social media post. Here’s how to do a voice over in Canva:

1. Choose the right design

First, you’ll need to choose a design that’s appropriate for your voice over. If you’re creating an explainer video, for example, you might want to use a template that includes placeholders for text and images. This will make it easy for you to add your voice over recording and create a professional-looking video.

2. Record your voice over

Once you’ve chosen your design, it’s time to record your voice over. You can do this using any audio recording software or app, such as GarageBand or Audacity. If you’re not sure how to get started, there are plenty of tutorials online that can help you out.

PRO TIP: Canva is a great way to create stunning visuals for your brand, but when it comes to voice overs, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. First and foremost, make sure you have the right equipment. A quality microphone is a must, as is a quiet room with good acoustics. If you’re recording at home, consider investing in a soundproofing foam or other sound dampening materials.

Once you have your equipment set up, it’s time to focus on your performance. Make sure you take the time to warm up your voice before recording, and avoid any stressful or strenuous activities that could affect your vocal quality. When you’re ready to record, take your time and focus on delivering a clear and concise performance. Remember that practice makes perfect, so don’t be afraid to do multiple takes until you’re happy with the final result.

3. Add your recording to Canva

When you’re happy with your recording, it’s time to add it to Canva. To do this, simply click on the “Uploads” tab and select the audio file from your computer. Once it’s been added, you can drag and drop it into place on your design.

4. Export your design

Once you’ve added your voice over recording, you can export your design as a PNG or JPEG file. You can also export it as a video file, which is ideal if you’re creating an explainer video or product demonstration. To do this, simply click on the “Share” button and select the “Download Video” option.
