How Do You Do an Interaction in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:26 am

In Figma, interactions are how you design the way your users will interact with your prototypes. You can use interactions to simulate real-world scenarios, such as what happens when a user clicks a button or scrolls through a page.

To create an interaction in Figma:

1. Select the element you want to design the interaction for. 2. In the right sidebar, click the Interactions tab. 3. Click the + icon to add a new interaction. 4. In the Action dropdown, select the type of action you want to trigger the interaction (e.g., Click, Tap, Double-click).

5. In the Trigger dropdown, select how you want to trigger the action (e., On click, After delay). 6. In the Animations dropdown, select an animation from the list or click +Add custom animation to create your own. 7. Preview your interaction by clicking the play icon in the top-right corner of the Interactions panel. 8. When you’re happy with your design, click Save & Close in the top-right corner of the panel.

That’s it! You’ve now created an interaction in Figma.
