How do you do breakpoints in Figma?

In Figma, you can set breakpoints by clicking on the red “stop” button in the bottom left corner of the editor. You can also use the keyboard shortcut “b”. When you hit the “stop” button, the editor will pause at the line you’ve selected and a red dot will appear in the margin next to that line. To continue working on the line, type “backspace” and hit enter.

PRO TIP: If you are working in Figma and want to set a breakpoint, be very careful! Breakpoints can cause your design to become unstable and can even break your file.

You can also use the cursor keys to move between the lines. When you hit the “stop” button again, the editor will stop at the next line that has a different color.
