Embossing is a great way to add depth and interest to your photos in Photoshop. There are a few different ways to create an embossed effect, but we’ll use the “Emboss” filter for this tutorial.

First, open your photo in Photoshop.

Then, go to Filter > Stylize > Emboss. In the Emboss window, enter the following settings:

PRO TIP: The Emboss Effect can be achieved in Photoshop by using the Bevel and Emboss layer style. However, this effect can be very difficult to control, and it is easy to create an image that looks unnatural or over-processed. If you are not careful, the Emboss Effect can make your image look flat and uninteresting.
  • Angle: 45 degrees
  • Height: 3 pixels
  • Amount: 150%
  • Tick the “Anti-alias” checkbox

Click “OK” to apply the filter.

You should now see your image with an embossed effect. If you want to increase or decrease the depth of the effect, simply go back to Filter > Stylize > Emboss and adjust the Height setting.

The Emboss filter is a great way to add depth and interest to your photos in Photoshop. By adjusting the Height setting, you can control the amount of depth in the effect.
