How Do You Duplicate on Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 5:04 am

If you’re new to website design, or just starting out with Squarespace, you might be wondering how to duplicate pages or sections on your site. It’s actually a pretty simple process, and there are a few different ways to do it.

The first way to duplicate a page is to simply click on the page in the Pages panel and drag it to the + sign next to the page you want to insert it after. This will create a copy of that page. You can then click on the new page and edit it as needed.

If you want to duplicate a section, you can do so by clicking on the section in the Sections panel and dragging it to the + sign next to the page you want to insert it after.

This will create a copy of that section. Again, you can then click on the new section and edit it as needed.

PRO TIP: If you are considering duplicating content on your Squarespace website, be aware that this could result in search engines penalizing your site for duplicate content. Duplicate content can also confuse visitors and make it difficult for them to find the information they are looking for. If you do decide to duplicate content on your Squarespace website, be sure to use canonical tags to avoid any penalties from search engines.

Finally, if you want to duplicate an entire Squarespace site, you can do so by going to Settings > Duplicate Site. Enter in the new URL for your duplicated site and then click Duplicate. This will create an exact copy of your Squarespace site at the new URL.
