As the world of design changes, so too do the tools that we use to create our designs. Canva is a cloud-based graphic design tool that allows users to create professional designs with little to no prior design experience.

One of the great things about Canva is that it offers users a wide variety of design templates, including those for creating vintage-style designs. In this article, we’ll show you how to create a vintage look in Canva using some of the platform’s built-in design elements.

To start, log into your Canva account and select the “Create a Design” button. From there, you’ll be taken to Canva’s library of design templates. Scroll down until you find the “Vintage” section and select the template that best fits your needs.

Once you’ve selected a template, you’ll be taken to the template’s editing interface. Here, you can add your own text, images, and other design elements to customize the template to your liking. To change the color scheme of your design, click on the “Color” tab in the left-hand sidebar and select one of Canva’s pre-set color palettes or create your own custom palette.

To add an image to your design, click on the “Uploads” tab in the left-hand sidebar and upload an image from your computer or select one from Canva’s library of over 1 million professional stock photos. When adding images, be sure to use ones that fit with the vintage aesthetic you’re going for. This means avoiding bright colors and instead opting for more muted tones.

Once you’re happy with your design, click on the “Download” button in the top-right corner of the screen and select either a JPEG or PNG file format for downloading your finished design.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, you can end up with a very dated looking design. Be sure to use vintage elements sparingly, and only use them if they fit the overall tone and feel of your design.

So there you have it! With just a few clicks, you can easily create a vintage-style design in Canva. Just remember to use muted colors and avoid bright hues if you want your design to look truly authentic.
