How Do You Import Customers From Shopify to WooCommerce?

Shopify is one of the most popular ecommerce platforms on the market. And for good reason – it’s easy to use, has tons of features, and is extremely scalable. However, some merchants eventually outgrow Shopify and need to move to a more robust platform like WooCommerce.

The process of moving from Shopify to WooCommerce doesn’t have to be difficult or time-consuming. In fact, with just a few steps, you can successfully import your Shopify customers to WooCommerce.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Export your Shopify customers

The first step is to export your Shopify customers. You can do this by going to Shopify Admin > Customers > Export. This will generate a CSV file of your customers that you can then import into WooCommerce.

  1. Create a customer import CSV file for WooCommerce
  2. Next, you’ll need to create a customer import CSV file for WooCommerce. You can do this by opening the Shopify CSV file in a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Then, add the following columns to the spreadsheet:

    • user_login: This is the username that the customer will use to login to your WooCommerce store.
    • user_pass: This is the password that the customer will use to login to your WooCommerce store.
    • user_email: This is the customer’s email address.
    • billing_first_name: This is the customer’s first name.
    • billing_last_name: This is the customer’s last name.
    • shipping_first_name: This is the first name that will be used for shipping purposes.
    • shipping_last_name: This is the last name that will be used for shipping purposes.
    • billing_address_1: This is the first line of the customer’s billing address.
    • billing_address_2: This is the second line of the customer’s billing address (optional).
    • billing_city: This is the city associated with the customer’s billing address.

  3. Redirect Your Shopify Customers To Your New WooCommerce Store.
