How Do You Inspect a Shopify Store?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 9:19 pm

In order to inspect a Shopify store, you will need to be familiar with the Shopify platform and have a working knowledge of HTML and CSS. With that said, here are the steps you will need to take in order to inspect a Shopify store:

PRO TIP: If you are planning to inspect a Shopify store, please be aware that there are some risks involved.

First and foremost, please remember that Shopify is a platform for businesses of all sizes, and as such, not all stores will meet your expectations. In some cases, you may find that the store does not live up to its promises, or that it is not as well-organized as you had hoped.

Additionally, please keep in mind that when you inspect a Shopify store, you are essentially looking at the store through the eyes of the business owner. This means that you may not see everything that is happening behind the scenes. For example, the business owner may be using third-party apps to help run their store, or they may be using Shopify’s built-in features in ways that you are not familiar with.

Finally, please remember that inspecting a Shopify store is not a substitute for doing your own due diligence. Before making any decisions about working with a particular business, please make sure to research the company thoroughly and speak with other customers who have used their services.

1. Go to the Shopify platform and log in. 2. Once you are logged in, click on the “Online Store” tab that is located in the left-hand sidebar. 3. From the “Online Store” page, click on the “Themes” tab. This will take you to the page where all of the available themes for your Shopify store are located. 4. Find the theme that you want to inspect and then click on the “Customize” button that is located next to it. 5. This will take you to the “Theme Editor” page where you can make changes to your theme. To inspect your theme, you will need to look at both the HTML code and the CSS code.

6. To view the HTML code, click on the “Edit HTML/CSS” button that is located in the left-hand sidebar. This will take you to the “Edit Code” page where you can view and edit your theme’s HTML code. 7. To view the CSS code, click on the “Assets” tab that is located in the left-hand sidebar. This will take you to the “Asset Library” page where you can view and edit your theme’s CSS code. 8. Once you have finished inspecting your theme, click on the “Save” button located at the top of the “Edit Code” page or the “Asset Library” page (depending on which one you were editing). 9. That’s it! You have now successfully inspected a Shopify store!
