How do you make a 12 column grid in Illustrator?

Making a 12 column grid in Illustrator is easy. To start, open up a new Illustrator file and select the Grid tool (G). Click on the center of the artboard to select the entire document. Now, click on the first column in the top row and drag it down to the bottom of the artboard. Release the mouse button and click on the second column in the top row, then drag it up to the bottom of the artboard. Repeat this process until you have a 12 column grid positioned in the artboard.

Next, select the first row in the grid and click on the first column in the first row. This will select the entire row. Now, type 1 in the text field to the right of the selection and press Enter. This will activate the 1st row in the grid. Repeat this process for each row in the grid. When you’re finished, your grid should look like the image below.

PRO TIP: – Do not use the ‘make a 12 column grid in Illustrator’ function unless you are absolutely sure that you want to do so. This function can have unforeseen and undesirable consequences, and is best avoided unless you are confident in your ability to use it correctly.

Now, we’ll add some content to the grid. Click on the first column in the first row and drag it down to the bottom of the artboard. Type a 1 in the text field to the right of the selection and press Enter. Type a 2 in the text field to the right of the selection and press Enter. This will activate the 2nd row in the grid. Type a 3 in the text field to the right of the selection and press Enter. This will activate the 3rd row in the grid. Type a 4 in the text field to the right of the selection and press Enter. This will activate the 4th row in the grid. Type a 5 in the text field to the right of the selection and press Enter. This will activate the 5th row in the grid. Type a 6 in the text field to the right of the selection and press Enter. This will activate the 6th row in the grid.

Type a 7 in the text field to the right of the selection and press Enter. This will activate the 7th row in the grid. Type a 8 in the text field to the right of the selection and press Enter. This will activate the 8th row in the grid. Type a 9 in the text field to the right of the selection and press Enter. This will activate the 9th row in the grid. Type a 0 in the text field to the right of the selection and press Enter. This will activate the 10th row in the grid. This will activate the 11th row in the grid. This will activate the 12th row in the grid.

Type a 1 in the text field to the right of the selection and press Enter. Type a 2 in the text field.
