How do you make a 3×3 grid in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 7:41 pm

Making a 3×3 grid in Photoshop is easy. To do this, open Photoshop and create a new document. Set the size to 3×3 and set the fill color to black. Then, create a grid using the grid tool (G).

PRO TIP: This warning note is about the potential risks associated with making a 3×3 grid in Photoshop. Specifically, we want to warn you about the possibility of losing image quality when scaling up an image to fit within a 3×3 grid. When scaling up an image, Photoshop automatically interpolates pixels, which can lead to a loss in image quality. We recommend that you use the “nearest neighbor” interpolation method to preserve as much image quality as possible when scaling up an image.

You can also use the shortcut Ctrl+G. Once you have created the grid, use the fill tool (F) to fill it in with black. Finally, use the stroke tool (S) to add a border around the grid.
