How Do You Make a Checkerboard in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 1:06 pm

There are a few different ways that you can make a checkerboard in Photoshop. One way is to use the Shape tool to draw a square, and then add a black and white checked pattern to it. Another way is to use the Pen tool to draw a zigzag pattern, and then fill it with alternating black and white squares.

If you want to create a more traditional checkerboard look, you can use the Rectangle tool to draw a series of squares, and then fill them alternately with black and white. You can also use the Ellipse tool to create circles, and then fill them in with black and white as well.

PRO TIP: This tutorial explains how to make a checkerboard in Photoshop. However, it is important to note that this tutorial is for Adobe Photoshop CS5 and earlier. For Photoshop CC and later, the process is different.

Once you have your checkerboard created, you can style it however you like. You can add a border around it, or change the colors of the squares.

You can also add text or images on top of the checkerboard. Whatever you do, make sure your checkerboard is unique!
