How Do You Make a Figma Frame?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:35 am

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool – the first one of its kind!

With Figma, you can create vector illustrations, wireframes, and user flows all in one place. And because it’s all stored in the cloud, you can access your work from anywhere.

So how do you make a Figma frame?

First, open up Figma and sign in or create an account. Then, click on the “+” icon in the left sidebar to create a new file. You’ll be prompted to choose a template or start from scratch.

If you choose to start from scratch, you’ll be taken to a blank canvas. To create a frame, click on the “Rectangle” tool in the toolbar (it’s the second tool from the left).

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Figma, please be aware that Figma is a vector graphics editor and animation tool. As such, it is possible to create frame-by-frame animations within Figma. However, because Figma is a vector graphics editor, the frames you create will not be traditional pixel-based images. Instead, they will be vector graphic objects. This means that if you are not careful, you could easily create an animation that looks very different from the original image.

Then, click and drag on the canvas to draw your rectangle. When you release the mouse button, you’ll see options for setting the frame’s size, color, and other properties.

Once you’ve set your frame’s properties, you can start adding content to it. To do this, click on the “Text” tool in the toolbar (it’s the fourth tool from the left).

Then, click inside your frame and start typing. You can change the font, size, color, and other properties of your text using the options that appear in the toolbar.

When you’re done adding content to your frame, you can export it as an image or PDF by clicking on File > Export > Export As… in the top menu bar.
