Scroll saw patterns can be created in Photoshop with a few simple steps. First, open Photoshop and create a new document.

Then, using the pencil tool, draw your desired pattern onto the document. Once you have your pattern drawn out, go to the “Layer” menu and select “Layer Mask.” A layer mask will allow you to create a cut-out of your pattern.

To create the layer mask, simply click and drag your mouse over the area of the image that you want to cut out. The area that you drag your mouse over will become transparent, revealing the layer below it.

Once you have finished creating your layer mask, go to the “File” menu and select “Save As.” In the “Save As” dialog box, select “JPEG” from the drop-down menu and click “Save.” Your JPEG image will now be saved with a transparent background, ready to be used as a scroll saw pattern.
