How do you make a sun flare overlay in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 8:26 pm

Making a sun flare overlay in Photoshop is a relatively easy task. The first step is to create a new layer, and name it “Sun Flare.” The next step is to select the sun image that you want to use as the overlay. You can find this image in the ” Images” panel of your Photoshop window. The next step is to use the “Blur” tool to soften the edges of the sun image. You can also use the “Gaussian Blur” tool to achieve a more realistic effect.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, or do not have a recent version of the software, you should not attempt to create a sun flare overlay. Sun flares can be created using a number of different techniques, and the process can be difficult to achieve without the proper knowledge or tools. Additionally, sun flares are best used in moderation, as too much of the effect can make an image look unnatural.

Next, use the “Filter” tool to add a “Sun Flare” effect to the image. To do this, select the “Filter” tool, and click on the “Effect” tab. Then, select the “Sun Flare” option from the drop-down menu. Finally, adjust the properties of the “Sun Flare” effect to your liking.
