Last updated on January 26, 2023 @ 8:52 am

A sunset is one of the most beautiful things that you can witness. The colors are just so stunning, and it’s a great way to end the day. If you’re a photography enthusiast, then you’ve probably tried to capture the perfect sunset at one point or another. But let’s face it, sunsets are pretty difficult to photograph.

The lighting is always changing, and it’s hard to get the exposure just right. But don’t worry, because we’re here to help. In this article, we’ll show you how to make a sunset in Photoshop.

The first thing you need to do is open up your sunset photo in Photoshop. We’re going to be working with this image:

Once you have your image open, go to the “Layers” panel and create a new adjustment layer. We’re going to be using a “Hue/Saturation” adjustment layer.

To do this, simply click on the “Create new fill or adjustment layer” icon at the bottom of the “Layers” panel and select “Hue/Saturation. “

When the “Hue/Saturation” dialogue box pops up, make sure that the “Colorize” option is checked. Then, play around with the Hue and Saturation sliders until you get your desired effect.

PRO TIP: This note is to warn you about the dangers of using Photoshop to create sunsets. While it may seem like a fun and easy way to add some color to your photos, it can actually be quite harmful to your image quality. Not to mention, it can be very time consuming and frustrating if you don’t know what you’re doing. So, unless you’re a professional or have a lot of experience with Photoshop, we recommend that you avoid using it to create sunsets.

In our case, we increased the Hue to 35 and the Saturation to +30. This is what our image looks like now:

Next, we’re going to add a bit of warmth to our image by creating a new adjustment layer called “Photo Filter.” To do this, simply click on the “Create new fill or adjustment layer” icon at the bottom of the “Layers” panel and select “Photo Filter.”

When the “Photo Filter” dialogue box pops up, select the “Warm Filter (85)” option from the drop-down menu and click “OK.”
