How Do You Make a Texture Brush in Photoshop?

There are a few different ways that you can make a texture brush in Photoshop. Method 1: Making a New Brush

  1. Open up Adobe Photoshop on your computer.
  2. Create a new file or open an existing one.
  3. Click on “Window”, then click on “Brushes”. A new window will open up showing all of your current brushes.

Method 2 : Using an Existing Image as a Texture Brush

The second method involves using an existing image as a texture brush .

  1. Open up Adobe Photoshop on your computer .
  2. Create a new file or open an existing one .
  3. Click on File , then click on Open A new window will pop up asking you to select an image file from your computer .
  4. Select any image file and click on OK
  5. This image will now be open in Photoshop as a separate layer from your background layer.
  6. If necessary , resize this image so that it is smaller than your background layer.You can do this by clicking on Edit, then click onTransform, then click on Scale.
  7. A bounding box will appear around your image layer. Click and drag any of the corners of the bounding box in order to resize your image layer.
  8. Once you have resized your image layer, click on Enter. Your image layer should now be smaller than your background layer.
  9. If not, try resizing it again until it is smaller.
  10. Now that you have resized your image layer, it’s time to get rid of its background color so that only the texture remains. There are several different ways that you can do this, but we’ll show you one simple way.
