How Do You Make Eyes in Photoshop?

In this tutorial, we’ll learn how to make eyes in Photoshop. We’ll start by creating a new document and then adding a couple of basic shapes.

Next, we’ll add some color and shading to give the eyes some depth. Finally, we’ll add some highlights and reflections to make the eyes really pop.

Creating a New Document

We’ll start by creating a new document in Photoshop. To do this, go to File > New.

In the New dialog box, set the width to 500px and the height to 500px. Click OK to create the new document.

Adding Basic Shapes

Next, we’ll add a couple of basic shapes to our document. First, we’ll add a circle for the iris of the eye.

To do this, select the Ellipse Tool from the Tools palette. Then click and drag in your document to draw a circle. When you release the mouse button, you should have something that looks like this:

Now we need to add a white highlight to the center of the iris. To do this, select the Rectangle Tool from the Tools palette.

Then click and drag in your document to draw a small rectangle. When you release the mouse button, you should have something that looks like this:

The next step is to add a pupil to our eye. To do this, select the Ellipse Tool from the Tools palette again.

Then click and drag in your document to draw a small circle. When you release the mouse button, you should have something that looks like this:

Now we need to add a black outline around our pupil. To do this, select the Pen Tool from the Tools palette. Then click around the edge of your pupil shape to draw a path.

When you’re done, right-click on your path and choose Stroke Path from the menu that appears. In the Stroke Path dialog box, choose Black as your color and click OK. Your pupil should now have a black outline around it:

The last step is to add an eyelid over our eye. To do this, select the Pen Tool from the Tools palette again.
